Diagonal line/angle/other objects not look good embossed due to not adjust.
Cause:
The direction of the highlight and shadow used to create the 3-D embossed look cannot be adjusted, to make objects that do not look good look better.
Solution:
Do not emboss lines or objects that do not look good when embossing is used.
NOTE: Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem.
To remove embossing from a line or object:
1) Select the desired line or object.
2) To remove embossing from a line or non-text object:
a) Select the 'Format' menu and select 'Shadow..'. (The Shadow dialog box appears.)
b) Select something other than embossed from the 'Color' drop-down list box.

NOTE 1: Selecting 'No Shadow' would remove any type of shadowed formatting from the line.
NOTE 1: Click 'Preview' to see what the change looks like WITHOUT accepting the change yet.
c) Click 'OK'.
3) To remove embossing from text:
a) Select the 'Format' menu and select 'Font...'. (The Font dialog box appears.)
b) Clear (uncheck) the 'Emboss' check box in the 'Effects' group.
